The Contribution of Routing in Logistics Cost Savings and Improving the Logistic Service Level in a Food Segment in Ceará

Abstract

This article aims to identify the role of scripting as a tool to reduce logistics costs and improving the level of service at a company in the food segment Ceará. The research is classified as exploratory and documentary, while is based on documents assigned by the organization object of this study and professional experience of the author. Through the comparison between the scenarios and outcomes with and without the use of scripting to manage logistics costs and improving service level, and analyze the information provided by the organization, the problem and the main objective was solved. Finally, after analyzing the data, it is concluded that the routing is an element of vital importance to the management of logistics costs and improving service levels.
